Women in Climate, an initiative of Surge Africa is convening a network of women advocates on International Women’s Day to connect and informally exchange knowledge and strategies through networking and alliance building. The space will host women leaders who have driven strategic change in their own domain, and will lead informal discussions on leadership, access and equality, and the importance of building your community in the space.

The Northwest Commissioners Summit on Climate Change is a comprehensive one-day event aimed at promoting dialogue, collaboration, and fostering inter-state strategies in the North-Western region of Nigeria. The event will bring together respective State Commissioners and House Committee Chairmen on Environment and Climate Change from the seven Northwest states in Nigeria to deliberate on key issues that intersect climate change, sustainable development, and climate security. This critical step will help facilitate the development of state-level strategies and initiatives needed to advance climate change, adaptation and resilience.
