Campaign Lead

Location: Fully Remote -   Nigeria

Role Overview:

As the Campaign Lead, you will be responsible for proposing, planning and executing Surge Africa’s campaigns and related engagements. You will engage directly with multiple stakeholders both locally and internationally, and will support, advocate for, and build knowledge around strategic campaigning both for the benefit of Surge Africa, and as it relates to partner organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive campaign strategies aligned to organizational goals and designated outcomes.

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of multi-channel campaigns across various platforms, including digital, social media, events, and grassroots initiatives.

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop impactful messaging, creative content, and advocacy materials that resonate with our campaign demands.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and fellow campaigners to share knowledge and strategies that seeks to promote the reach and impact of our campaigns.

  • Monitor campaign performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reports and analysis to inform decision-making and optimize current and future campaigns.

  • Stay informed about climate-related issues, trends, and developments to ensure our campaigns remain relevant and effective.

Qualifications:

  • Proven 3 years experience in campaign management, preferably in the nonprofit sector or environmental advocacy.

  • Strong strategic thinking, creative problem-solving skills, and a passion for driving social change.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of climate change issues and environmental sustainability initiatives is preferred.

  • Ability to anticipate climate trends using both research and own insight, and brings the project into the fore of that trajectory.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
